Following Bafana Bafana’s 2-0 loss to Mexico in the tournament opener, readers were asked who should be South Africa’s keeper in their second match.
Chaine came out on top, receiving 70% of the vote. Ronwen Williams, who started against Mexico ranked second with just over 23%, while Ricardo Goss was backed by less than 7% of readers.
Bafana Bafana captain Williams is set to retain his spot in the starting lineup, but there is a strong case for Chaine to get his first World Cup appearance.
