Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al Nassr clinched the Saudi Pro League title on the final night of the season – ending a six-year wait for domestic silverware for the 41-year-old.
Ronaldo’s brace in the final half-hour saw Al Nassr beat Damac 4-1 on Thursday to clinch the Saudi Pro League championship on the last night of the season, finishing two points ahead of rivals Al Hilal.

Ronaldo had not won a domestic league title since winning Serie A with Juventus in 2020. The wait ended in fitting fashion – a trademark free kick in the 63rd minute that curled past the goalkeeper and a close-range finish nine minutes from time.

He was seen weeping on the bench as the final minutes played out.
The Saudi championship adds to an extraordinary career haul that already includes league titles in England, Spain and Italy as well as five Champions League medals. His career goal tally now stands at 973 – tantalisingly close to the 1,000-goal milestone.
The road to this moment has not been straightforward. In 2024 Ronaldo was left in tears when Al Nassr lost the King’s Cup final to Al Hilal on penalties. This season he disappeared from the lineup for three games in an apparent protest after former teammate Karim Benzema joined rival club Al Hilal. His only previous silverware with the club was the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in January 2023 on a deal estimated at €200 million, extended for a further two years in June 2025. His arrival opened the door to a wave of high-profile signings including Neymar and Benzema as the Saudi Pro League pushed to establish itself among the world’s elite competitions.
Next up is a sixth World Cup with Portugal, where he will look to add to his record tally of 143 international goals.
