Inter Miami’s introduction of Lionel Messi under the DRV PNK Stadium was nothing short of dazzling and stunning in what would be termed the MLS’ grandest parade. After over a five-week wait since the World Cup and seven-time Ballon d’Or winner revealed his relocation to Miami, Florida fans defied heavy rains for the night.
Messi arrived on the scene shortly after the briefest introduction of maestro and Inter Miami’s latest midfield recruit Sergio Busquets, and was introduced by club co-owner Jorge Mas as “Miami’s No. 10, America’s No. 10” with fireworks overhead and thousands of cheers and applause from the stands.
