Cloete says the squad’s Varsity Football qualification hopes are very much alive, despite last week’s 2-0 defeat to Johannesburg rivals UJ.
Attention now turns to Friday’s clash with UP-Tuks, and Cloete says the group remain focused on what’s ahead of them.

“The mandate is still clear, the boys still have their heads high, and by no means does this mean we are out of qualifiers,” he said.
Cloete admits the derby loss stung, but says the squad have bounced back well in training since.

“Taking a loss against UJ, it’s never nice, and the morale may have taken a slight dip, but I think the boys are resolute enough and tenacious enough to come back and understand how crucial the fixture against Tuks is.”
