UP-Tuks struck first, Ntokozo Madela heading in a Risen Albert cross in the 17th minute to hand the hosts an early lead, his sixth goal of the campaign. UP-Tuks grew complacent after going ahead, and although Albert’s departure through injury was a blow, TUT couldn’t find a way through before the break, trailing 1-0 at half-time.

The Red Army came out transformed after the interval. Kearabilwe Mphahlele was at the centre of the response, first setting up Iviwe Sodidi for the equaliser before turning scorer himself, punishing a loose touch from Matome Rangata with a fierce finish.
Akani Rathokoa then put the result beyond doubt, cutting through the UP-Tuks defence to fire TUT’s third into the far corner. UP-Tuks pushed for a way back, with goalkeeper Luyanda Mandindi denying both Samukelo Ngodela and Kholofelo Masenamela, before Jason Cox’s late strike only reduced the arrears rather than sparking a genuine comeback.
