The Varsity Football semi-finals are set, with Wits hosting TUT and UJ facing UP-Tuks on Friday, as four sides battle for a place in the Varsity Football final.

Wits go into the semi-final level on points with UJ at the top of the table, 16 points from seven matches.
TUT come into the game in good form, having beaten UL 4-1 in their final round-robin match to secure their spot in the last four.

UJ vs UP-Tuks – Friday, 19:15, UJ Soweto Stadium
UJ host UP-Tuks in a repeat of their most recent meeting, which UP-Tuks won 1-0. Despite that defeat, UJ still finished level on points at the top of the table, and boast the division’s tightest defence, having conceded just two goals all season.
UP-Tuks head into the semi-final full of confidence, sitting third overall with the division’s most potent attack, having scored 13 goals across their seven matches. UJ will be eager for revenge on home soil.
