Orlando Pirates started their new campaign in style with a solid victory over a hardworking Milford FC team at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
While the team collected three points, a standout individual display quickly became one of the major talking points of the afternoon amongst fans.
Youngster Cemren Dansin produced a masterclass in the middle of the park. He was arguably one of the best players for Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side against Milford.
Now, the coach has commented on his performance while urging supporters and the media to exercise caution with his rising star.
Ouaddou reveals Dansin plan
After making 13 appearances for Orlando Pirates last term, highlighted by a sensational match-winning strike against Mamelodi Sundowns that earned him the PSL Goal of the Season award, Dansin has been poised for an even bigger role in Mayfair. However, head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou insists he will manage the 21-year-old’s development with caution.
“We have have to be careful, because I have been in this business for a while. The boy is doing well,” Ouaddou told members of the media following his side’s 3-1 victory.
“We took time to bring this youngster through. Last season, I put him in a very big game against Sundowns and he scored a fantastic goal. But we don’t have to burn his talent, we had to take it step by step.”
Orlando Pirates will enjoy a week-long break before facing Durban City in the MTN8 next weekend. The Buccaneers are looking to make it five MTN8 titles in a row.
