Broos names Bafana squad to face Morocco

Hugo Broos has unveiled his final 23-man squad for their upcoming match against Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations Group K qualifier on June 17.

Having previously announced a preliminary squad that included TS Galaxy captain Given Msimango, it was later decided that Msimango would not be part of the final squad, as he is set to join Kaizer Chiefs.

Broos, the Belgian tactician, has now confirmed the definitive list of players who will represent South Africa in the crucial match at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Looking at the broader perspective, South Africa is determined to secure a victory against the North African giants, who currently sit atop the Group K standings. Morocco enters the match with boosted confidence following their remarkable performance in the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar, where they became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals.

After missing out on the World Cup, Broos is determined to guide South Africa to a strong showing in the upcoming tournament in Ivory Coast.

Looking ahead, Broos and his team will be aiming to avenge the 2-1 defeat they suffered in their previous Group K encounter against Morocco last year.

The Team:

Bafana – Broos
