TUT opened their campaign with a statement win over the defending champions, Lucky Raphala calmly converting a second-half penalty after a mistake in the UFS box to secure all three points on the road.
TUT 1-1 UP-Tuks
A heated Tshwane derby followed, and it finished level. TUT went ahead through Likho James, but UP-Tuks hit back to earn a point, with goalkeeper Luyanda Madindi coming up with a crucial late save to preserve the draw.

TUT 2-3 UWC
TUT’s form dipped sharply in round four. They led twice, through Kearabilwe Mphahlele and then James after a goalkeeping error, but UWC hit back each time, Imaan January and a Mesuli Manzi set-piece levelling the first two, before substitute Liphulo Zini’s 80th-minute curler won it for the hosts in a five-goal thriller.
TUT 3-2 DUT
TUT bounced back in dramatic fashion, with Raphala and Akani Rathokoa both scoring to put them ahead at different points, before Ntshuxeko Mkhabela settled another thriller with a stoppage-time penalty in the fourth added minute.
TUT 0-2 Wits
A 2-0 defeat to Wits left TUT’s semi-final hopes hanging by a thread heading into the final round, sitting sixth and level on points with fifth-placed UFS.
TUT 4-1 UL
They responded when it mattered most, thrashing UL 4-1 through goals from James, Rathokoa and Mphahlele to pip UFS on goal difference and sneak into the knockout stage.

Wits 0-1 TUT
The semi-final brought a rematch with Wits, and TUT made it count. Mphahlele finished off a slick one-two with James in the 19th minute, and despite mounting pressure from the home side after the break, TUT held on for a 1-0 win and a place in the final.
TUT now face UP-Tuks at Tuks Stadium on 2 October at 19:00, with the two sides having shared the points when they met in the group stage. There will be no draw to settle for this time.
