Claude Le Roy’s second spell in charge of Congo Brazzaville began with defeat, as Bethuel Muzeu headed home Namibia’s winner in the 47th minute in Gaborone. The 78-year-old is back in the dugout for a sixth African nation, five years after leaving Togo.
DR Congo 2-0 Equatorial Guinea
Captain Chancel Mbemba headed DR Congo in front inside four minutes in Kinshasa, before Yoane Wissa added a second in the second half to seal a comfortable win for the Group E top seeds.
Ivory Coast 2-0 Ghana
Ivory Coast made a statement in Bouaké, with Yalcouye breaking the deadlock just before half-time before Kessié added a second from the penalty spot in the 58th minute.

Cameroon 3-1 Comoros
Cameroon eased to victory in Garoua, with Nyengue and Mbeumo putting them 2-0 up before Omari pulled one back for Comoros, and Namaso restoring the two-goal cushion late on.
Sierra Leone 2-3 Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe came from behind in El Jadida, with Munetsi’s brace either side of a Chirewa goal turning the game around after Sierra Leone had led through Conteh and Tarawallie.
Mauritania 3-1 Central African Republic
Mauritania won comfortably in Casablanca despite CAR pulling one back through Koyalipou, with Koita, Camara and Diallo all on target. CAR finished the match with ten men after Kouadio was shown a second yellow card.

Libya 2-2 Botswana
Botswana looked to have done enough after goals either side of the half-hour mark, but Libya snatched a dramatic draw in Tripoli, pulling one back through Alhibeeshi before Ezoo El Mariamy converted a stoppage-time penalty in the sixth added minute.
Tunisia 1-1 Uganda
Tunisia led through an early Arous strike in Radès, but Uganda hit back through Mato in the 68th minute to secure a share of the points.
