Mudau injury overshadows Sundowns win over Gallants

An Achilles tendon injury to full-back Khuliso Mudau spoilt a 2-0 victory by Mamelodi Sundowns over Marumo Gallants on Wednesday in the Betway Premiership.

Mudau was part of the South African team that made history at the 2026 World Cup by reaching the knockout stage for the first time.

“It is a serious injury and a big loss not only to us, but also South Africa,” Sundowns’ Portuguese coach Miguel Cardoso told reporters.
