Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League campaign ended in Madrid, but Lamine Yamal emerged as one of the standout performers in the 2025-26 competition.
The teenager has become central to Barcelona’s attack under Hansi Flick, building on his rapid rise since breaking into the first team at 16. Despite the club’s exit, Yamal’s impact across the tournament underlined his growing influence at the highest level.
His numbers place him among the competition’s elite. Yamal ranked third for touches in the opposition box with 86, behind leader Vinicius Junior’s 109, highlighting his consistent involvement in attacking areas. He also finished second for through balls completed with seven, just one behind Michael Olise.

While Barcelona fell short of their ambitions, Yamal’s performances offered a clear positive. At just 18, he has already established himself as one of the most influential attacking players in European football.
