Spain, France dominate FIFA’s Team of the Tournament

Messi, Mbappe and Haaland headline FIFA's fan voted Best XI, alongside a shock inclusion that has caught everyone's attention.

Goalkeeper

Cape Verde’s Vozinha, 40, is the tournament’s standout selection, chosen ahead of World Cup winner Unai Simon after a string of heroic saves helped the Blue Sharks make history on their World Cup debut.

Defence

Pedro Porro and Marc Cucurella represent champions Spain, while France’s Dayot Upamecano anchored a defence that conceded just twice. Argentina’s Lisandro Martinez completes the back line after a strong campaign before injury struck in the final.

Midfield

Golden Ball winner Rodri anchors the midfield after driving Spain to glory. Jude Bellingham earns his place following a standout England campaign, while France’s Michael Olise finished the tournament one assist short of an all time World Cup record.

Attack

Golden Boot winner Kylian Mbappe leads the line with 10 goals, a new World Cup scoring record, alongside Erling Haaland’s prolific Norway campaign and Lionel Messi, named despite Argentina’s final defeat, capping another influential tournament for the Argentina captain.
