Wolves sack Pereira after winless streak

Wolves have fired head coach Vitor Pereira on Sunday after failing to win any of their opening 10 Premier League games.

After a 3-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, Wolves remained rooted to the bottom of the Premier League log, with only two points from a possible 30.

Their struggles at both ends of the pitch and steady decline after years of losing key players has them in a dangerous situation after 10 rounds and their Premier League future in serious doubt.

“Results and performances this term have fallen below acceptable standards, and as a result a change in leadership was deemed necessary,” said a club statement, with Wolves eight points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table.
