Tudor set to stay as Spurs boss

Tottenham Hotspur will keep Igor Tudor in charge for their next two matches as the club weigh up their options following recent results.

According to The Times, the interim head coach will remain in the dugout for the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid and the crucial Premier League meeting with Nottingham Forest.

Tudor’s position had come under pressure after Tottenham suffered four consecutive defeats following his appointment, including a heavy first-leg loss to Atletico.

There were also concerns within the squad regarding some of his decisions, particularly his handling of goalkeepers Guglielmo Vicario and Antonin Kinsky.

However, the 1-1 draw away at Liverpool has eased some of that pressure. Tottenham produced a disciplined performance at Anfield despite a depleted squad, with several key players unavailable. The display has convinced club officials that Tudor can guide the team through a difficult period.

Spurs face a significant task in the return leg against Atletico, trailing 5-2, before turning their focus to a decisive league clash against Nottingham Forest. With both sides fighting near the bottom of the table, the outcome of that fixture could have a major impact on the relegation battle.

The club are yet to make a long-term decision on the managerial position. While the possibility of appointing a permanent head coach has been discussed, leading candidates are not expected to be available until the end of the season.

Tottenham could still make a change during the international break if results do not improve, but for now the focus remains on stability. The performance at Anfield has given Tudor an opportunity to steady the team and guide them clear of danger in the final weeks of the campaign.
