The 25-year-old is expected to make his final appearance for Bournemouth against Tottenham Hotspur before completing the remaining formalities of his move to the Etihad Stadium. Contractual documentation has already been agreed, allowing City to proceed once the medical assessment is completed.

Semenyo has been targeted as a functional addition rather than a transformational signing, fitting Pep Guardiola’s preference for squad depth that enhances tactical flexibility.
