Manchester United have seen an improved bid worth up to £62.5 million rejected by Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo, reports the BBC. The offer included £55 million up front, with a further £7.5 million in add-ons.
It’s United’s second approach this month after a £45 million bid plus £10 million in add-ons was also turned down. The 25-year-old Cameroon international is under contract until 2026, with Brentford holding an option to extend.
Mbeumo scored 20 goals and contributed nine assists last season and is reportedly valued at the same fee Wolves received for Matheus Cunha – £62.5 million guaranteed.
Tottenham’s new manager, Thomas Frank, is also believed to be interested in a reunion, while other Champions League clubs are monitoring the situation.
Mbeumo is expected to miss part of the 2025–26 season due to the Africa Cup of Nations, where Cameroon begin against Gabon on 24 December.
