Liverpool have emerged as the clear favourites to sign PSG forward Bradley Barcola and are reportedly working to get a deal over the line before the transfer deadline closes.
Barcola is understood to be open to the move, having decided against extending his contract in Paris, with Liverpool’s sporting project now his priority destination.

PSG value the 23-year-old at around €170 million, a figure shaped by this summer’s British record fees for Morgan Rogers and Elliot Anderson, and partly by Barcola’s own recent form and honours, back to back Champions League triumphs, a strong World Cup with France, and his relatively young age for a player of his profile.
Interest has not been limited to Liverpool either, with several other clubs known to have made enquiries, with PSG willing to sell for the right price.
Liverpool, for their part, are hoping to negotiate that figure down from an initially quoted £140 million, with talks between the clubs ongoing and further discussions scheduled in the coming days.

Much of the urgency behind the move can be traced back to Paris. Head coach Luis Enrique has made clear he only wants players fully committed to PSG’s project and will not guarantee anyone a starting role, a stance that appears to have hastened Barcola’s willingness to consider his options elsewhere.
That comes despite a productive campaign in which he scored 11 goals in Ligue 1 and played a part in PSG’s sweep of the Champions League, Ligue 1, Coupe de France and Trophee des Champions.
His World Cup form only added to his growing reputation, scoring once and providing an assist across three appearances as France reached the semi-finals before eventually finishing third.
