Sporting’s Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres is set to complete a move to Arsenal after the clubs agreed to a fee in excess of €70m for the 27-year-old.

Gyokeres will now undergo a medical before sealing the move to Mikel Arteta’s side, joining Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi as the latest signings ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Arsenal have been looking to add to their forward line since January, following an injury crisis upfront that saw midfielder Mikel Merino deployed up top in the absence of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka.
