AC Milan suffered their first defeat under Ruben Amorim as Benfica claimed their first-ever win over the Italian giants.
Dodi Lukebakio put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute with a fine solo effort, cutting in from the right before finishing into the bottom corner, before Jakub Kaminski doubled the lead eight minutes after half-time, converting a cross from Souffian El Karouani.
Marco Silva’s side extended their unbeaten start to the season in the process.

Sunderland 1-0 AZ Alkmaar
Sunderland marked their first European fixture since 1973 with victory, beating AZ Alkmaar 1-0 at a raucous Stadium of Light.

Lyon bounced back from their Champions League play-off exit to Fenerbahçe with a win at Anderlecht.
Noah Nartey opened the scoring inside eight minutes, before Keito Nakamura doubled the lead with a deflected strike, his first goal since signing from Reims.
Mihajlo Cvetkovic pulled one back for the hosts after half-time, but Lyon held on for the win.
