Bafana Bafana will play Ghana next week in their final fixture on home soil before departing for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Morocco.
Hugo Broos’ side will host the Black Stars in Gauteng on Tuesday, 16 December 2025, with SAFA expected to confirm the venue in the coming days.

The squad will then jet out to Morocco to begin preparations for the continental showpiece, which runs from 21 December 2025 to January 2026.
Twenty four nations will contest the tournament across nine venues, with Côte d’Ivoire heading in as defending champions.
Bafana have been drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, Angola and Zimbabwe. They kick off their campaign against Angola on 22 December, aiming to build on the momentum of their impressive third-place finish at the 2024 tournament.

Broos’ 25-man squad blends continuity and opportunity. Established internationals Ronwen Williams, Teboho Mokoena, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Sphephelo Sithole all return after playing key roles in last year’s bronze-medal run. Several newcomers, including Sipho Mbule, Mohau Nkota, Khulumani Ndamane and Mbekezeli Mbokazi, will experience Afcon for the first time.
The squad is also bolstered by the return of Lyle Foster, with the Burnley striker available again after missing the previous edition due to mental-health challenges.
