SAFA President Danny Jordaan stated that SAFA considers the Teboho Mokoena issue resolved and has shifted its focus to upcoming competitions.
Bafana Bafana overcame FIFA sanctions to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup despite being docked three points for fielding suspended midfielder Teboho Mokoena, who had received a second yellow card against Lesotho in March.
The team recovered to reclaim top spot in Group C and book their place at the tournament.

“The matter is closed, we are not interested in the matter. We are focused on AFCON and the World Cup,” he said regarding the yellow card incident that resulted in Bafana Bafana being docked points.
While SAFA President Danny Jordaan maintains the Mokoena issue is now behind them, Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie has called for accountability, insisting that action should be taken.
