Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has urged his players to capitalise on their World Cup qualifying fixture against Group C rivals Nigeria, after overcoming Lesotho on Friday night.

Although South Africa are the designated away team, with Lesotho hosting their matches in the country, Broos believes home support will be vital — particularly looking ahead to the Nigeria clash.

“You always have weak moments in a game, and that’s when you need the crowd,” he added. “Hopefully they’ll be there especially next Tuesday, because we will need them.”
