Snoop Dogg follows Luka Modric in Swansea City investment

Music mogul Snoop Dogg is set to become the latest high-profile figure to invest in Championship side Swansea City, following in the footsteps of Real Madrid legend Luka Modric.

Sky Sports News reports that the 53-year-old rapper and producer intends to use his personal funds to support the Welsh club. His involvement comes just days after he made a surprise appearance in Swansea’s 2024–25 home kit launch, signaling a growing connection with the club.

Swansea’s American ownership group, led by Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen, has been actively pursuing international partnerships to expand the club’s global brand and boost commercial revenue. Adding a cultural icon with Snoop Dogg’s reach—89 million followers on Instagram and over 20 million on X—could provide a major lift.

Back in April, 2018 Ballon d’Or winner Luka Modric was unveiled as a co-owner and investor. While Swansea did not disclose financial details, Modric expressed enthusiasm about helping the club rise through the ranks.

“This is an exciting opportunity,” Modric said. “Swansea has a strong identity, an incredible fanbase and the ambition to compete at the highest level. My goal is to support the club’s growth in a positive way and to help build an exciting future.”

With Modric bringing elite football insight and Snoop Dogg offering global cultural clout, Swansea appear to be making bold moves both on and off the pitch.
