Former Mamelodi Sundowns’ Cassius Mailula has officially arrived in Belgium to join KV Kortrijk, following administrative delays that had postponed his integration into the squad.
The South African centre-forward joined the Belgian second-tier side on a season-long loan from FC Toronto on transfer deadline day but had been absent as the club awaited the completion of his paperwork. Mailula is now expected to bolster Kortrijkβs push for promotion to the top flight.
The 24 year-old spent last season at Wydad Athletic Club in Morocco, where he featured in the FIFA Club World Cup and contributed to the teamβs qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup through a strong league campaign, recording six goals and seven assists in 36 appearances across all competitions for the Botola Pro outfit.
