Durban City appoint Gavin Hunt as head coach

Newly promoted Durban City F.C have confirmed the appointment of seasoned tactician Gavin Hunt as head coach following their promotion to the Premier Soccer League after parting ways with former boss Simo Dladla in the process.

The club, preparing for life in Betway Premiership, turned to the vastly experienced 60-year-old, Hunt who has been without a club since leaving SuperSport United earlier this year.

Hunt brings a wealth of experience, having previously managed top-tier sides including Kaizer Chiefs, Bidvest Wits, and Moroka Swallows, earning multiple domestic honours over a decorated career.

Meanwhile, speculation continues to swirl around the club’s technical structure, with former Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp reportedly linked to a strategic role behind the scenes.
