DJ Khaled sends messages to Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of CAF Champions League final

Mamelodi Sundowns have received a boost of special support as prominent digital billboards featuring international music mogul DJ Khaled have been erected in locations around Gauteng.

This special initiative, facilitated by Roc Nation Sports International – Mamelodi Sundowns’ global partner – comes on the eve of the highly anticipated CAF Champions League first leg final on Saturday.

Two digital billboards – featuring DJ Khaled wearing the yellow colours of the Brazilians – will be flighted for the next month at two venues. The primary display will be shown in the iconic Nelson Mandela Square, while the other will be on Katherine Street in Sandton, and both are emblazoned with the words: ‘Good luck Mamelodi Sundowns, let’s go. The sky is the limit!’

Beyond its immediate message of support for the upcoming CAF final, it serves as a triumphant celebration of Mamelodi Sundowns’ eighth successive league title, and aims to build further excitement for the club’s participation in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup

DJ Khaled, a long-time supporter of Mamelodi Sundowns and the face of the “We The Best” movement, solidifies a pre-match narrative of ambition, excitement and the ongoing pursuit of excellence. The iconic American artist has also recorded a selection of hype messages, which will be shown on the big screens at Loftus on matchday.

As a global connector, this latest display of allegiance from DJ Khaled is another testament to the award-winning artist’s undeniable affection for Mamelodi Sundowns, adding to a long line of previous examples of his support for the club. He is also looking forward to welcoming the team to Miami and the US when they travel to the Club World Cup next month.
