Watch: Why Orlando Pirates signed Oswin Appollis

Betway Premiership heavyweights Orlando Pirates made a major statement this transfer window by securing the signature of Oswin Appollis from Polokwane City.

Oswin, who began his career at Ajax Cape Town, is primarily a left winger but offers far more than just a traditional number 11 role.

Renowned for his versatility across the frontline, Appollis gives the Buccaneers a dynamic option capable of filling multiple attacking positions effectively adding three players in one.

With that said, Appollis is incredibly gifted as a footballer. He has exceptional ball control in any given situation, can strike from 18-yards out with astonishing power, and precision.

Since making his top-flight debut with SuperSport United at just 18 years old in 2019, he has gone on to make 64 appearances in the PSL and has earned 11 caps for Bafana Bafana.

Appollis’ 2024/25 Stats across all Competitions:

Appearances: 26

Starts: 26

Minutes played: 2,117

Goals: 2

Minutes per goal: 1,059

Assists: 1
