WATCH: Durban City end winless streak against Siwelele

Durban City ended a three-match winless run in the Betway Premiership with a 2-0 victory over Siwelele FC at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday.

The result moved City to fourth place on the table with 11 points from six matches. They will next face Mamelodi Sundowns away on 20 September. Siwelele dropped to 13th after suffering their fourth defeat of the season and will play Magesi away on the same date.

New signings Letsie Koapeng and Terrence Mashego both started for City. Koapeng scored the opening goal in the 42nd minute after Siwelele failed to clear the ball and Bokang Mokwena provided the assist. City led 1-0 at halftime.

In the 52nd minute, Mokwena scored his first Premiership goal, doubling the lead to 2-0. Siwelele introduced Ghampani Lungu in the 71st minute as they searched for a response, but City kept their lead until full-time.
