Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove has left the club following the PSL side confirming they would not be renewing his contract.

The decision comes as a surprise, given Dove’s strong contributions when fit. The 30-year-old Mozambican international became the fourth player to exit Naturena this off-season, following the departures of Sabelo Radebe, Ranga Chivaviro, and Njabulo Blom—whose loan deal was not extended.
Blom Heads Back to St. Louis
After completing his loan spell with Kaizer Chiefs, Njabulo Blom will return to his parent club, St. Louis City SC, in the United States of America.

Dove’s 2024/25 campaign was derailed by an Achilles tendon injury sustained during pre-season training in Turkey. However, he fought his way back to fitness and became a key figure under head coach Nasreddine Nabi in the latter stages of the season, making 13 appearances.
Originally signed by Arthur Zwane in 2022, Dove leaves Amakhosi after featuring in 56 matches across all competitions. His exit marks the end of a two-and-a-half-year stint with Amakhosi.
