The Betway Premiership returned on Sunday afternoon with three key fixtures taking place across the country.
Milford FC turned on the style at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in the early kickoff, running riot against Richards Bay with a dominant 5-1 thrashing.
Dr Xanti Pupuma’s men tore the Natal Rich Boys apart, with Siphosethu Ndlabi, Phakamani Jwara, Jabulile Gxakoshe, and a clinical brace from Mvelo Zikakayo sealing the comprehensive rout.
The victory means Milford climb up to fifth position on the log standings, just one point behind Kaizer Chiefs who are in fourth.
Over in the Free State, Siwelele and Golden Arrows were forced to share the spoils in a hard-fought 1-1 draw. Philani Khumalo gave the visitors the lead in the 49th minute however Christian Saile managed to equalise for the hosts with 30 minutes to go.
In the final match of the day, Kruger United earned their first victory of the season after defeating TS Galaxy 1-0 at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.
Khetukuthula Ndlovu’s 73rd minute strike was enough for the visitors to pull off a surprise victory over The Rockets, and in the process lifting his side out of the relegation zone.
