Polokwane City ended their three-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over TS Galaxy in the Betway Premiership on Wednesday.
The visitors made a strong start and took the lead in the 17th minute. Juan Mutudza found space on the edge of the area and curled a shot into the far corner beyond Ira Tape.
Galaxy struggled to respond in the first half, with Polokwane controlling the game and limiting the hosts to few clear chances. Lindokuhle Mathebula was largely untested before the break as Polokwane carried their lead into half-time.
The visitors extended their advantage shortly after the restart. Mokibelo Ramabu finished from close range to make it 2-0 and put Polokwane in control.

Galaxy improved as the second half progressed and began to create openings. Siphesihle Maduna tested Mathebula with a long-range effort, forcing a strong save as the hosts looked to get back into the match.
Polokwane remained a threat on the counter and could have added a third when Bonginkosi Dlamini broke into the area, but Tape denied him from close range.
The hosts reduced the deficit in the closing stages. Igor reacted quickest in the box to bundle the ball home after his initial effort was saved, giving Galaxy hope late on.
Polokwane managed the final minutes well to secure the result, which keeps them in the top eight, while Galaxy remain in the lower half of the table.
