The Sea Robbers are champions again, yet their title story has quickly been followed by questions over whether the man who led them there will still be in charge next season.

According to Goal, Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is doubtful of his future at the Soweto giants after clinching the Premier Soccer League title: “It will be difficult to continue”.
What should have been a straight coronation moment has instead turned into a period of reflection for the Moroccan tactician, who guided Pirates through a historic campaign that delivered silverware on multiple fronts and restored their place at the summit of South African football.
Ouaddou has openly admitted that the physical and mental toll of leading one of the continent’s biggest clubs has left him drained, despite delivering a domestic treble that included league success and cup glory. The achievement is undeniable, but so too is the pressure that came with it.
“I work with passion, I work with love, and it is difficult to lead such a big team like Orlando Pirates,” he explained, adding that the demands of the season have left him exhausted and in need of recovery time before even thinking about what comes next.
