Siphosethu Ndlabi’s 23rd-minute penalty proved the difference after goalkeeper Mickey van der Hart fouled Mvelo Zikakayo in the box. Ndlabi stepped up and converted despite van der Hart getting a hand to the ball.
Cape Town City dominated possession throughout but struggled to convert their control into clear-cut chances. Emile Witbooi was lively down the left but squandered the hosts’ best opportunity just before the hour mark, firing straight at Siphamandla Hleza from six yards after a neat build-up move. Witbooi was substituted shortly after to the frustration of the home supporters.

Gabriel Amato impressed in City’s midfield, helping the hosts maintain possession and work the ball tidily through the lines – but the final ball consistently let them down with strikers Dejan Zajmovic and Therlo Moosa rarely threatening.
Milford’s defensive discipline was the difference. They absorbed City’s pressure effectively and held firm to claim a valuable three points on the road.
Milford now face Magesi at home in their next fixture while City travel to face the same opponents.
