Kaizer Chiefs confirm new signings ahead of pre-season tour

Amakhosi have unveiled their first three new signings on Tuesday for the 2025/26 campaign, with more additions expected during the current transfer window.

Kaizer Chiefs have tightened its squad with a full-back, a midfielder and a striker following a mid-table finish (P9 / 32 points) in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership.

The Glamour Boys seek improvements across the pitch ahead of their preseason tour this month, with the technical team reinforcing Nasreddine Nabi’s squad in the following key areas:

Portuguese striker Flavio Silva joins from Indonesian club Persebaya Surabaya. The 28-year-old scored nine goals last season and previously netted 30 in 45 games for Persik Kediri and will wear jersey No. 77.

Ethan Chislett, a 26-year-old attacking midfielder from Durban, arrives from English side Port Vale. Known for his creativity and vision, Chislett brings experience to Naturena from stints in Europe.

Nkanyiso Shinga, a versatile 25-year-old left-back from Durban, signs from Portuguese club FC Alverce. Shinga is capable of playing in multiple positions, and returns to South Africa after seven years abroad and will wear No. 74.

The trio will join the squad’s pre-season tour to the Netherlands on Thursday, 3 July, as Chiefs ramp up preparations for the new Betway Premiership and CAF Confederation Cup campaigns.
