Sekhukhune United have confirmed that Orlando Pirates defender Tshepho Mashiloane will remain at the club for the upcoming campaign.
The 24-year-old right-back joined United at the beginning of last season on a loan deal from the Buccaneers. After cementing himself as a key player at Babina Noko, the club decided to bring Mashiloane back once again for the new season.
Mashiloane made 19 appearances for Sekhukhune United last season, scoring twice while assisting two more goals for the club.
Orlando Pirates defender heading back to Sekhukhune
Sekhukhune United confirmed the return of Mashiloane for the upcoming season via an official club statement on Wednesday afternoon.
“Sekhukhune United Football Club is pleased to announce the extension of defender Tshepho Mashiloane’s loan from Orlando Pirates… Having already demonstrated his quality and commitment during his time at the Club, his return provides further continuity and strength to the squad ahead of the 2026/27 Betway Premiership season.” the statement read.
The right-back joined Orlando Pirates at the beginning of last season after impressing out at Baroka FC. He’s yet to make his official debut for the Buccaneers as he was immediately loaned out by the club.
Despite his loan moves, Mashiloane has been tipped for a big long-term future in Mayfair.
Other Bucs stars out on loan
Mashiloane joins Thabiso Lebitso and Aphiwe Baliti as players out on loan from the Buccaneers. Lebitso joined Stellenbosch for the upcoming campaign while Baliti is out at Siwelele FC.
Sekhukhune United and Orlando Pirates enjoy a healthy relationship. No less than eight Bucs players have joined Babina Noko on loan over the past four years.
