Many Amakhosi fans blame the endless changes of coaches, poor player signings, and management decisions. But if you look closely at the pitch over the last decade, the real problem may be much deeper than just players or coach.
During recent years, Kaizer Chiefs often looked like a group of talented strangers rather than a real team. When the pressure got high, there was no fight, and no unity.
Chiefs have signed the likes of Keagan Dolly, Khama Billiat, Gaston Sirino and many more talented players. But despite their quality, all have struggled to make their impact felt at the club.
Their latest signing however is speaking a different language. A language that has been missing from Naturena for awhile now!
New defensive signing Thabo Moloisane recently revealed that the main focus on their current Spanish camp right is simply building a sense of unity to carry into the new season under new coach Fernando Da Cruz.
“We have been here for a couple of days and it has been great to be with the guys… We are building a sense of unity among us to carry into the new season,” Moloisane told the club’s official website.
Kaizer Chiefs opened their pre-season camp with an impressive 1-1 draw against Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers. They followed that match up with another solid 1-1 draw against Saudi side Al Kholood.
The Glamour Boys will conclude their tour on saturday afternoon when they face Spanish LaLiga side Elche FC.
