Kaizer Chiefs will be looking to continue their impressive start to the Betway Premiership following an opening weekend that showed a glimpse of the ‘new era’ under Fernando Da Cruz.
The Glamour Boys ended Game-week 1 on top of the log standings thanks to a 3-1 victory over Kruger United. Now, they next face a dangerous Sekhukhune United side on Wednesday, 12 August at the FNB Stadium.
Sekhukhune United themselves are high on confidence after defeating Durban City in their opening match. Elsewhere in KwaZulu Natal, Orlando Pirates will also be looking to maintain their 100% start to the season when they face another tricky side in AmaZulu.
The Buccaneers got their Betway Premiership title defence off to a solid start with a 2-0 victory over Milford. Their opponents however also registered an impressive opening day victory over Stellenbosch.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns open their league campaign away against TS Galaxy at the Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday evening. Masandawana were granted an extra week of pre-season preparation following the tragic passing of Jayden Adams.
Stellenbosch, meanwhile, face another stern test in the form of Polokwane City. City were one of five teams that managed to pick up all three points in their opening match of the season.
