Sithole will bring fresh legs and intensity to the middle of the park after sitting out South Africa’s 1-1 draw with Czechia following his straight red card against Mexico. With Themba Zwane also suspended, Hugo Broos faces one of his toughest selection calls of the tournament in midfield.

Sithole came out comfortably on top, receiving almost 70% of the vote. Relebohile Mofokeng, who is yet to start in North America, came in a distant second with roughly 15%, a reflection of just how badly fans want to see him given his chance. Jayden Adams and Thalente Mbatha rounded out the poll with just under 8% each.
With Bafana needing a result to keep their World Cup alive, Broos will have plenty to consider before naming his starting XI.
