Pitso Mosimane has named a refreshed team to face Egypt in a friendly match at the Cairo International Stadium.
In his opening two matches as head coach of Bafana, the legendary South African coach kept it simple by sticking with Hugo Broos’ tried and tested formula.
Tonight however, Mosimane has opted to build his reserves by giving a number of new players a rare Bafana start. Let’s take a look at his starting XI below.
Egypt vs South Africa: Starting XI’s
Egypt XI: Shobeir, Hany, Rabia, Abdelmuguid, Karim, Mohamed, Marwaan, Ashour, Ibrahim, Marmoush, Zizo.
South Africa XI: Chaine, Matuludi, Seema, Okon, Basadien, Poggenpoel, Sithole, Matthews, Dithejane, Singh, Mailula.
Subs: Williams, Goss, Rayners, Mbuthuma, Zwane, Campbell, Moremi, Kabini, Morena, Makhanya, Ndamane, Sibisi.
Who comes in and who misses out?
From Bafana’s previous AFCON Qualifier, only Ime Okon remains from the starting XI that faced Eritrea.
Sipho Chaine replaces Ronwen Williams in goal while Matuludi, Seema and Basadien replace Kabibi, Makhanya and Sebelebele.
It’s a completely new midfield trio with Aubaas, Sithole and Mofokeng all being replaced.
In attack, Appollis, Maseko and Rayners have all been replaced by Dithejane, Singh and Mailula.
