Bafana target sharper edge in Cape Town

Bafana Bafana host Panama in the second friendly, aiming to improve finishing after dominating large phases of the opening match in Durban.

Panama struck first through Yoel Bárcenas before Oswin Appollis equalised early in the second half. South Africa controlled large parts of the match, finishing with 64% possession and creating more chances, but struggled to convert.

Hugo Broos’ side have shown consistency in recent friendlies, though results have been mixed across all competitions. The focus remains on improving efficiency in front of goal ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
