Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named a 38-man preliminary squad for South Africa’s upcoming international friendlies against Panama later this month.
The two matches will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium and DHL Cape Town Stadium.
South Africa will host Panama in Durban on 27 March, before the teams meet again in Cape Town on 31 March 2026.
The friendlies form part of Broos’ preparations ahead of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico between June and July.

Broos will trim the squad to 23 players in the coming days before announcing his final selection for the two matches. The team is scheduled to assemble in Johannesburg on 23 March before travelling to Durban for the first fixture.
The preliminary list features a mix of experienced internationals and emerging talent, with goalkeeper Ronwen Williams among the senior figures included.
Other notable selections include midfielders Teboho Mokoena and Themba Zwane, while attackers Lyle Foster, Iqraam Rayners and Relebohile Mofokeng are also included.
The squad also features several players who have impressed in domestic competitions this season, as Broos continues to build depth ahead of upcoming international tournaments.
