Bournemouth are prepared to let Alex Scott leave in the January window, but only for around £100 million and only if they are clear of trouble in the Premier League, reports The Times.
The Cherries refused to entertain offers for the 23-year-old in the summer. With Marco Rose arriving as head coach and a first season of European football ahead, keeping the squad together was the priority, and Chelsea had several bids of over £60 million rejected.

That position has now shifted, partly because Scott has not committed his future to the club. His contract runs to 2028, but Bournemouth’s last offer of new terms came in April, and there are understood to be no ongoing talks.
Two conditions must be met before they sell. The first is the fee, with the club valuing him at roughly £100 million. The second is their league standing, and that could prove the bigger obstacle, with Bournemouth still without a win after six league games and on three points.
The club are wary of further upheaval after a year of heavy turnover. Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, Ilya Zabarnyi and Antoine Semenyo all left across the 2025/26 windows, while this summer only centre-back Marcos Senesi moved on, leaving for nothing once his deal ended.

Chelsea remain the most likely suitors. They need midfield reinforcements after Enzo Fernández’s £125 million move to Manchester City, and their interest is said to be strong. Liverpool, who appointed former Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola in the summer, are on good terms with the club, though it is unclear whether they would spend that kind of money midway through the season rather than waiting until the summer.
Scott, signed from Bristol City for £25 million three years ago, is also nursing an injury. He earned his first senior cap earlier this month and started England’s 7-0 win over Croatia, but came off after 70 minutes with a thigh problem, which frustrated Bournemouth. Rose expects him to miss “four or five” weeks.
