Zimbabwe 1-2 DR Congo
Yoane Wissa scored and set up another as DR Congo spoiled Zimbabwe’s first home match since 2021, coming from behind a 60,000-strong crowd that included president Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Wissa opened the scoring in the 30th minute after goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze failed to hold a cross, before setting up Samuel Moutoussamy in first-half stoppage time.
The Newcastle striker also hit the woodwork and saw another effort trickle just wide, before Marshall Munetsi headed a 93rd-minute consolation for the hosts, his third goal in two qualifiers after a brace against Sierra Leone last week.
DR Congo top Group E on maximum points after also beating Equatorial Guinea 2-0 in their opener.

Central African Republic 0-1 Burkina Faso
Aboubacar Camara scored the second-half winner as Burkina Faso beat Central African Republic in Casablanca, a neutral venue used because CAR lack an international-standard stadium.
Equatorial Guinea 1-0 Sierra Leone
Loren Zuniga’s first-minute goal was enough for Equatorial Guinea to beat Sierra Leone in Yaoundé, another match played away from home for stadium reasons.
Tunisia 2-2 Botswana
Botswana led inside the opening stages through Thatayaone Kgamanyane, before Hazem Mastouri equalised for Tunisia just before half-time and then put the hosts ahead less than five minutes into the second half.
Lebogang Ditsele levelled for Botswana on the hour mark to make it 2-2, and the score stayed that way despite Tunisia dominating possession (68%) and shots (26 to 6, with 8 on target to Botswana’s 6).
