Danny Jordaan has successfully beaten off a massive challenge from AmaZulu FC president Sandile Zungu to secure yet another term at the helm of South African football.
The 75-year-old football boss has been running the show at SAFA House since 2013 after succeeding Kirsten Nematandani.
Zungu gave him the toughest fight of his career, but Saturday’s ballot proved Jordaan’s grip on the organisation isn’t slipping just yet.

Danny Jordaan secured a massive victory over Sandile Zungu at the ballot boxes, walking away with 157 votes while leaving his rival trailing on 82.
What this means is that the long-standing president will remain in charge of the association for another four years.
The action in Midrand is far from over though. Delegates remain locked inside the venue as the battle now shifts to filling the remaining seats on the National Executive Committee.
