Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has shed light on Mohau Nkota’s situation after the winger’s return to the club.
Nkota recently rejoined the Buccaneers on loan from Saudi side Al Ettifaq for the remainder of the season.
While Nkota wasn’t exactly the first name on the Ettifaq team-sheet, he was given a notable amount of playing time in the Saudi top-flight.
In fact, he made a total of 22 appearances in his debut season abroad which included a number of impressive moments.
Considering his form Saudi, Bucs fans have been eager to see him back in the famous black and white, but head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has confirmed a temporary setback.
The fan-favourite is currently nursing an injury and is currently working his way back to full fitness with the medical team.
“Nkota is still with the medics and is undergoing treatment. I think he had an injury when he was with his previous club. So I hope to have him back in three or four weeks,” the Bucs coach told members of the media.
Orlando Pirates are gearing up for their crucial CAF Champions League opening preliminary round qualifier clash against Mauritius champions La Cure Sylvester SC.
This weekend’s second-leg takes place at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The first-leg ended in a goalless draw.
