On 16 May 2015, Sadio Mané scored the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history, netting three times in just two minutes and 56 seconds as Southampton thrashed Aston Villa 6-1 at St Mary’s.
Mané’s treble put Southampton 3-0 up inside 16 minutes, smashing Robbie Fowler’s long-standing record of four minutes and 33 seconds, set for Liverpool against Arsenal back in 1994.

Shane Long and Graziano Pelle added further goals either side of a Christian Benteke consolation, but the day belonged entirely to Mané’s explosive burst.
The performance came in the Senegalese forward’s first Premier League season and served as an early glimpse of the searing pace and clinical edge that would define his career.
Mané went on to join Liverpool the following year, winning the Champions League and Premier League among a host of major honours, before later moves to Bayern Munich and Al Nassr. Nearly a decade on, his 2:56 record remains unbeaten.
