The former Liverpool star, who joined from the Reds for around €75 million prior to the 2025-26 campaign, has hit the ground running in Bavaria and played a leading role in one of Europe’s deadliest attacking lines alongside Harry Kane and Michael Olise.
Al Hilal have registered interest in Diaz and are considering a move, having previously tried to sign him from Liverpool last season, with a salary offer of €22.5 million net per year.
Diaz, however, has already made his position clear to Bayern Munich, he wants to stay, and is not currently entertaining the idea of a transfer. Bayern share that stance, with the club having no intention of negotiating.

He currently earns a gross salary of around €14 million a year at Bayern, translating to roughly €10.4 million net once German tax is applied, given the country’s top income tax rate sits at 45 percent for high earners.
Al Hilal’s reported €22.5 million net offer would have more than doubled his current take-home pay, a gap explained largely by Saudi Arabia’s complete absence of personal income tax for foreign workers, compared to Bayern, Diaz would have needed a gross salary north of €40 million just to match that figure in Germany.
The reluctance to sell is easy to understand given the impact Diaz has had since joining on a four year deal. He scored on his very first appearance for the club, netting in Bayern’s Supercup win over Stuttgart, before finding the net in each of his first three Bundesliga matches, as Bayern romped to their 34th Bundesliga title.
With Harry Kane and Michael Olise partnering him in attack, Diaz has formed one of the most prolific front lines in Europe this season, with the three combining for 106 goal contributions in the league alone.
