Mofokeng capped a remarkable season by three individual honours at the PSL Awards, winning Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season.
The 21 year old contributed 11 goals and nine assists in 36 appearances across all competitions, while also leading the league for chances created, numbers that underline just how central he was to Orlando Pirates’ title winning campaign.

His recognition among his peers made the achievement even more significant. The Players’ Player of the Season award is voted for exclusively by players from across the Betway Premiership, meaning Mofokeng’s rivals across the league identified him as the standout performer of the season, a rare honour to pair alongside the media voted Player of the Season award.

Mofokeng’s form throughout the campaign had already seen him described as the Premiership’s most valuable player, and Monday’s clean sweep confirmed his status as the league’s brightest talent.
His performances played a direct role in ending Pirates’ 14 year wait for the league title, part of a historic domestic treble under coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
