Kaizer Chiefs transfer update: Nine completed deals at Naturena

It’s a busy off-season at Naturena as Kaizer Chiefs rebuild their squad for the new season under the watchful eye of coach Fernando Da Cruz.

The Glamour Boys had a tough time last season, winning no silverware while rivals Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns dominated local football.

Those inconsistent results also cost co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze their jobs, forcing the club to start fresh.

No less than nine completed deals have taken place at Naturena ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. Six players have left the club, while three new arrivals have been confirmed!

New arrivals at Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have officially announced the arrival of three new faces. The Glamour Boys have roped in talented former Stellenbosch defender Thabo Moloisane alongside goalkeeper Renaldo Learner.

Their latest addition came as a rather surprise. Azam FC captain Adolf Mtasingwa Bitegeko completed a permanent move to Naturena. The defensive midfielder is expected to play a major role for the club, especially in their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Departures at Naturena

No fewer than six first-team players have left Kaizer Chiefs following the close of last season. Lehlogonolo Matlou, Tashreeq Morris, Happy Mashiane, and Gaston Sirino were all released by the club.

Furthermore, goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari has been loaned out to newcomers Kruger United while Aden McCarthy left the club to join Sabah FK in Azerbaijan.

More departures and arrivals are expected at Naturena before the transfer window closes in September. Kaizer Chiefs officially begin the new campaign with a league match against Kruger United on 1 August  2026 at the Mbombela Stadium.
